Hello everybody,
kindly asking help with this matter: my HP Envy 34-c1700ng (330 W 80 Plus Platinum power source) has 2 Thunderbolt 4 with USB4™ Type-C 40 Gbit/s Signalrate USB-Charging.
However, I am not able to charge my HP ProBook 450 GB ( 40W). I tried three different Thunderbolt-Cables - I am still unable to charge my laptop through the PC.
Could anyone assist me , am I doing something wrong?
Many thanks!

Power Delivery ports are meant to be used to charge small external devices, not laptops. That is actually stated in the specifications document for your PC. I provided that document link below.

The desktop PC I am typing this on has ports with that capability. I actually keep a USB Type-C cable connected there to use to charge my mobile phone.
I suggest that you use the power adapter that your laptop was delivered with to charge it, just as HP intended for it to be used.
