Hi @Rbag.
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're trying to access the BIOS menu on your HP PC and pressing F10 isn't working after accessing the startup menu, there could be a few reasons for this. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can try.
- Ensure Proper Timing: Make sure you're pressing F10 at the right time. Sometimes pressing it too early or too late might not trigger the BIOS menu. Try pressing F10 immediately after accessing the startup menu.
- Try a Different Key: Sometimes, due to keyboard configurations or BIOS settings, the key to access the BIOS menu might be different. Common alternate keys include F1, F2, F12, or Delete. Try pressing these keys after accessing the startup menu.
- Check Keyboard Connection: Ensure that your keyboard is properly connected to your computer. If you're using a wireless keyboard, try switching to a wired one temporarily to rule out any connection issues.
- Update BIOS: If you suspect that your BIOS might be outdated, consider updating it. However, proceed with caution as updating the BIOS carries some risks. Make sure to follow the HP instructions carefully.
- Reset BIOS: In some cases, resetting the BIOS to default settings can resolve issues with accessing the BIOS menu. You can usually do this by removing the CMOS battery from your motherboard for a few minutes and then reinserting it. Make sure to power off your computer and disconnect it from any power source before attempting this.
- Hardware Issue: If none of the above solutions work, there might be a hardware issue with your computer preventing you from accessing the BIOS menu.
Try these steps and see if you can access the BIOS menu on your HP PC.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
