My product model is TG01-2002in
The nvme ssd is not using the max lane width for some reason. I tried removing all the other sata cables and tested as well and still x2.There was no option in bios to work with since its a prebuilt.
Also I couldn't find the firmware update for the ssd even on the hp official site. ssd update was there for KIOXIA BG6 series and not XG6 Series. Please someone help me out with it.

Hi
I see the M.2 NVME PCIe 3.0 x2 bandwidth limit in your images.
I have a MSI B550A MB with a 5900x CPU running a Samsung 980 Pro at PCIe 4.0 by x4 in the M.2 socket connected to the CPU. The other M.2 sockets on my MB run at PCIe 3.0x4 from the chipset.
The 5700G may only support PCIe 3.0. But I don't know why you are not getting four data lanes (x4) from the CPU or the chipset.
I don't know what is going on if the NVME drive installed supports x4. Contact HP Support.
I don't know if HP Support can answer this question. HP hardware engineers can assist if the SSD supports x4 but it would be very difficult to contact one of these folks.

The NVME drive is KIOXIA KXG60ZNV1T02 and it does support Pcie 3.0 x4. Only HP has to answer this. They are very bad at building prebuilts that constantly limit the whole PC's performance with weird hardware and software.

As you said it would be very difficult to contact someone from the engineers team. I'm relying on the community to give me some leads on this issue.

Hi @Ziplo
Sorry, I meant to say HP engineers can tell you if your MB supports four PCIe lanes to the M.2 socket.
Maybe a different Forum member has "hands on information".
I did a little more research. First off, I have an MSI B550 MB and not a B550A MB.
The B550A MB seems to be based on the older X470 or B450 specifications. No PCIe Gen four CPU support and limited bandwidth from the chipset to PCIe devices. The B450 had a PCIe 3.0 x2 limitation to the only M.2 socket installed in the MBs.
Check this Link for more B550A info.
HP shows limited CPU upgrade options for your MB at this Site.
