OMEN 25L Desktop PC GT12-0000i (7WM05AV)
Microsoft Windows 11

I own a HP OMEN 25L Desktop GT12-000x, and I have been looking into upgrading my RAM. I've seen an article and a couple of threads that suggest that I buy a new stick of RAM directly from HP, but I wanted to start my own thread here just to be 100% safe. Does the new RAM need to be the exact same model as the RAM that already came with the desktop? I have a single HyperX Fury DDR4 2666MHz 8GB stick currently installed, and I was wondering if I needed to match the clock speed, or the capacity for that matter, or if I could get something like a HyperX Fury DDR4 3200MHz 16GB, for example. I also do not have an active warranty anymore, so I am not sure if adding a new stick of RAM without having any prior experience with PC building would be a safe course of action for me.
