Hi @Shane3976,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
For your HP OMEN 45L GT22-1455, you'll want to ensure that the memory you buy matches the original specifications to avoid compatibility issues. Here's what you need to check.
Original RAM Specifications:
- Type: DDR5
- Speed: 5200 MHz
- XMP: Enabled (XMP profile for overclocking)
- Capacity: 16 GB (2 x 8 GB)
- Brand: Kingston FURY
Compatibility Tips:
- Ensure that the RAM sticks you purchase are DDR5 and 5200 MHz, just like your original ones.
- Look for XMP support since this will ensure your system recognizes the higher speeds.
- For best compatibility, it’s ideal to match the brand and model of your original RAM.
Recommended Purchase Options:
- Kingston FURY Beast DDR5 RGB 16GB (2 x 8GB) 5200 MHz XMP – This is the closest match to your current memory and should work seamlessly with your system.
- Corsair Vengeance DDR5 5200 MHz 16GB (2 x 8GB) – While not Kingston, Corsair is known for its compatibility with gaming systems, and you can check user reviews for compatibility with the OMEN series.
For a reliable purchase, you can check reputable online retailers such as:
- HP's official store for compatible parts
- Kingston's official website for verified sellers
- Amazon, but check for return policies and verified compatibility
Lastly, ensure your BIOS is up to date to avoid issues with RAM recognition.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

@Alden4
Thanks for the help. I was able to purchase Kingston Fury Beast 64GB (2x32GB) 6000MT/s DDR5 CL40 Desktop Memory Kit of 2 | Intel XMP | Plug N Play | KF560C40BBK2-64. from Amazon and all i did was boot into the bios and turned the XMP off, then i shut the PC off and took out the original ram and replaced with the new sticks in the same spot. Started the PC and let it boot into windows (which took a long time) then checked the new ram and it was running 64GB at 4400MT/s. then i restarted and went into the bios and set the ram to XMP1, it loaded everything correctly for me so then i saved and let windows start up and it was running at 6000MT/s
