OMEN 880-026na - Upgrade to GTX Geforce 1080ti without upgrading PSU?

I'm interested in upgrading my pre-installed Geforce GTX1080 graphics card to a Gainward GeForce GTX1080Ti Phoenix in my OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 880-026na.

Would you recommend upgrading my standard 500W PSU, if i did this?

Or would my pc  be able to handle this?

I would not be overclocking anything and otherwise I would just have 2x Samsung 1tb 850 Evo's attached.

I see you need help in upgrading the graphics card, on OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 880-026na. Don't worry as I have a few suggestions which should help you.

After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 installed on the PC.

To get the answer to this question, That graphics card will do very little for you. Hence 500 W internal power supply will be sufficient enough.

You can look at the performance increase and power needs of the GTX 1080Ti here.

It needs 70 extra watts (W) and increases performance by 27%.
