HI All, Once again I return to this font of knowledge who have helped me to successfully upgrade my Graphics card and processor. Now I'm upgrading the RAM, probably the last thing I can do on what is becoming an older machine. When I say upgrading, I've already bought and installed it, but it only shows 32Gb is available even though it can see that 64 Gb is installed. I know that it will take 64Gb of RAM and I have bought two 32Gb DDR4 3200 Corsair Vengance which I have installed in the first two slots. Looking at some info online and speaking to my mate who is updating at the same time (He has an ASUS) he suggested I'd need to adjust the BIOS but when I go in there the help tools I see are not the same as what show's on the HP help page, I cannot see the OMEN Setup Utility at all, just what seems to be an older HP utility, is there a way to upgrade this so I can follow the steps in:

many thanks in advance!

Hi:
Doesn't your PC"s motherboard have 4 memory slots?
Each slot supports a maximum of 16 GB so if you installed 2 x 32 GB of memory in the PC, it can only handle 16 GB per slot.
The max is 4 x 8 GB of DDR4-2666/3200 MHz memory.

Ok so I realised my mistake at work when chatting to my mate, the mistake was to park them in the first two slots rather than slot 1 and 3 which I have have now rectified and the pc is not only showing 64Gb but is also using it. The next challenge is how to get it to go up to 3200 as it's sat at 2100, thanks!

You're very welcome.
Unfortunately, I would not be able to help you with the memory speed because:
Your PC's i7-8700 processor can only run the memory at a max speed of 2666 MHz, and you can't adjust the memory's XMP since the BIOS is locked, and the only memory that will run at 2666 MHz would be the memory that HP installed.
You will find many posts addressing this issue on the forum, such as these:
