OMEN by HP Desktop PC - 880-070na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Randomly booted up my PC one day and got this error message PHOTO-2021-10-04-09-58-49.jpg

I went into BIOS and checked to see the RPM of the pump fan but it said N/A so I unplugged the pump fan cable and cleaned everything just incase this was the problem but even when I replugged the pump fan cable in I still get this error message. I have also tried updating BIOS to see if that was the problem but have had no luck. I can still use the PC however the CPU fan is extremely loud and I have no idea what to do.

then the pump has most likely failed and the AIO needs to be replaced this costs around 60-80 dollars if out of warranty

running the system without a working pump will cause the cpu to overheat and fail and also possibly cause damage to the motherboard

@Tom_Kuit  -- I recommend that you replace the PUMP FAN, rather than allowing your computer to overheat. A fast-spinning and NOISY fan is a hint that your computer is running "hot".

on some systems the cpu pump and the cpu fan(s) are both powered from one fan header or two fan headers and if either pump or fan fails you will get a Fan failure warning on startup and you will need to determine if the error is due to pump or fan failure

the error is due to the pump as in BIOS I can see the CPU fans RPM but not the Pump fans RPM and also the error message says pump error

where can i find out what the pump in my PC is and what replacement to get, I assume it will probably be worth getting an upgrade on the stock pump on my PC?

AIO's (All In One" systems are sealed units of the pump/cpu cooling block and radiator/fan  you can not replace any parts as it's sealed system that is not designed  for parts replacement, you must replace all AIO parts, the only critical item is the radiator size 120mm/240mm/360mm this must match the old units size if you want to use the same mounting location for the new AIO

you can replace the HP "OEM" AIO with a retail 3rd party one or order the OEM AIO from HP partsurfer if available

Would you recommend the H60 as the replacement I should buy for the stock AIO that is in my build currently?

Thankyou a lot for the help 🙂
