Hi, i have a Hp Omen 880-001na and it has a Higos 2 motherboard.
I have purchased an intel i5 12400f cpu and the chip is too large for the motherboard.
I am looking to hopefully keep the case, and just replace the motherboard as i understand it needs a 1700 cpu socket, and support for a 600 range chipset.
The dimensions show as 9.4in x 9.4in on my current motherboard, but i know most micro are 9.6x9.in
My question is i have found a Gigabyte Intel Z690M DS3H DDR4 MicroATX Motherboard which ticks the boxes for the socket, chipset, and other ports i have/want, but it shows as microATX, will this fit inside my case or am i going to have to replace the case completely?
First time doing a replacement in a computer so sorry if i've asked something incredibly obvious!
Thanks in advance!
