OMEN by HP Desktop PC 880-p0xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I own an OMEN by HP Desktop PC 880-p0xx. I am looking to make some upgrades to the processor and video card, possibly mother board if necessary.

Current processor: AMD Ryzen 5 1400 Quad-Core (What is the max upgrade option for HIGOS 8309? What do I need to look at to check compatibility?)

Current Video Card: Radeon (TM) RX 580 (What is the max upgrade option for HIGOS 8309? What do I need to look at to check compatibility?)

Current mother board: HIGOS 8309 (what upgrade options do I have for the OMEN 880-90xx case?)

Thank you so much for your time.

@JSH5674,

Welcome to our peer-to-peer HP Community Forum!

Your OMEN by HP Desktop PC 880-p0xx as fitted with a Higos motherboard (SSID: 8309) can be upgraded with the following processors:

AMD Ryzen 7 1700 (8-Cores, 16-Threads, 3.00 GHz up to 3.70 GHz)
AMD Ryzen 7 1700X (8-Cores, 16-Threads, 3.40 GHz up to 3.80 GHz)
AMD Ryzen 7-1800X (8-Cores, 16-Threads, 3.60 GHz up to 4.00 GHz)

Your desktop is compatible with any graphics card you can think of.  Here is but one example.  You are only limited by your budget.  Since your motherboard is 24-pin ATX-power enabled, you can swap out your power supply with any industry standard ATX PSU (depending on your GPU's upgrade power requirement), as long as you watch its dimensions (LxWxH) for fit inside your desktop.  Same applies for any graphics card.

No idea what options there are for an OMEN 880-90xx case.

Hope this was helpful.

Kind Regards,
