Hi There!
Got my desktop a few years back and would like to upgrade my ram. Did my dues diligence and found the up to date version of the card the desktop came with. In the product specifications page for my desktop it says this:
- Dual channel (1 DIMM per channel) memory architecture
- Two DDR4 UDIMM (288-pin) sockets
- Supports PC4-21300 (DDR4-2666)
- Supports 8 GB and 16 GB DDR4 UDIMMs
- Supports up to 4 GB on 32-bit systems
NOTE:
32-bit systems cannot address a full 4.0 GB of memory. - Supports up to 32 GB (unbuffered) on 64-bit computers.
NOTE:
Maximum memory shown reflects the capability of the hardware and can be limited further in the operating system.
The part I'm confused about is where it says two ddr4 udimm. The sticks I purchased are 2 16gb dimm. Is this going to work? Does dimm only work when you're only using one slot? Thanks in advance!

It should work fine as long as you bought compatible 16 GB memory chips.
Such as one of these...
Crucial 16GB DDR4-2666 UDIMM | CT16G4DFRA266 | Crucial.com
If you bought buffered or ECC memory, it won't work.

Hi:
DIMM and UDIMM are sometimes used interchangeably.
UDIMM refers to memory generally used in desktop PC's and is an abbreviation for an unbuffered (or unregistered) dual inline memory module.
