Desktop omen 25L have had for 5 days. Was working the day before yesturday. It is 3/27/25.
The computer is doing the 3 beeps of death.
Purchased brand new at bestbuy.
Have tried all resolutions provided by HP and have had 0 luck getting it to work. Everything is plugged in, everything is seated properly.
Went to turn it on and noticed a poping sound followed by a burnt smell shortly after.
The day before it stopped working i notcied my cpu was hitting almost 200° F the fans were not going on or ramping up as they should have.
I believe these computers have defective motherboards/hardware issuies, from the factory.
I will be returning the PC today.
Wanted a pc from a company that has been around for a long time and thought it would last longer than 5 days of very light gaming mabye 1 hours max at a time. But it did not. I think the corsair power supply might be the problem or possibly a faulty GPU. But non the less i shouldnt have this problem with a brand new pc out of the box.
Omen 25L, i7 14700f, 32 gb ddr5, 1tb M.2 x2 , 4060 ti..
I hope HP comes up with a solution. Many owenrs of these PC have reported this 3 beep of death over 4 years ago. So it should be sorted out by now.
Thanks,
Richard.

@afaylenerich, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your Omen 25L 3 beeps of death!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
The "3 beeps of death" on your OMEN 25L Gaming Desktop can indicate a hardware issue, typically related to memory (RAM). To troubleshoot and resolve this, you can follow these steps before returning:
Power Off and Disconnect:
- Turn off your computer and disconnect all external devices (keyboard, mouse, etc.).
- Unplug the power cable.
Check and Reseat Memory (RAM):
- Open the case of your OMEN 25L.
- Locate the memory modules (RAM) and ensure they are securely inserted in their slots. Sometimes simply reseating them can resolve the issue.
- If you have multiple RAM sticks, try removing them and testing the computer with one stick at a time to identify if one is faulty.
Inspect Other Components:
- Ensure all other internal components are properly connected (check GPU, storage devices, cables, etc.).
Clear the CMOS:
- Clearing the CMOS can help reset the BIOS settings. This is typically done by removing the CMOS battery for a few minutes and then reinserting it.
- Refer to your computer’s manual for the precise location and procedure.
Update BIOS:
- Make sure your BIOS is up-to-date. You can download the latest BIOS update from the HP Support Website.
I hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
