Omen 30L RAM upgrade

I am looking to upgrade the RAM in my Omen 30L. The online specifications say that the maximum ram upgrade is 64Gb, but there are third party authorized resellers of this unit (with the same hardware configuration 10850K z490 motherboard) that now offer 128Gb of installed capacity. Was there a firmware/BIOS update that allows 128Gb of RAM? If so, what are the maximum specs I can install now? I am running the latest F22 BIOS firmware.

the question may seem silly to you, but what do you want to do with 128 gb of ram?

the reference does not identify your motherboard, but therefore probably one of them

this link does not allow to know the exact model either.
that said, what is mentioned in the product pages is what has been tested and validated by hp at some point
sometimes hardware can support more than stated, you can test this

Hi, thanks for the reply. I use my computer for 3D modeling and rendering, and I've reached a bottleneck in my workflow with only 64Gb of RAM, which is why I am hoping to upgrade. 

The specs for the motherboards you linked all indicate a maximum of 64Gb, however, the reason I'm asking about this is as stated above. HP has already unlocked some RAM features since the machine was released, like allowing XMP profiles for non-HP RAM modules. There is a reseller selling these machines with 128Gb installed, so I need a very technical answer from an HP rep who is intimately familiar with the revisions to the hardware and firmware that have been made over time. I doubt the reseller is installing a non HP motherboard.

As I said impossible to identify the model in the given link
and when I searched, could not find a model with an exact reference, currently, on the support, we only find this, and not seen a motherboard with mention of 128 gb

The processor can handle 128 gb but impossible to certify that it will work, especially if the order indicates otherwise!
