OMEN by HP 40L Gaming Desktop PC GT21-0000i (392G5AV)

The top mounted side release latch for the glass panel is stuck / doesn't work.

Any way to bypass it?

The metal side panel releases ok.

Thanks

Here is the video. take the front panel off first. Then take the top panel off. The latch needs some force to open.

I hope this helps!

My room is a mess too.

I found a solution, take the top panel off after removing the front glass panel, using a screwdriver you must manually slide the release latch, it will take some force so be careful. if you cant do it ill happily post a video on my youtube and send you the link.

Give me until tomorrow to set up my camera to record and upload it. I'll make it easy!

SirRivers -

Was able to get the panel off using your method.

The top latch still doesn't work, but I can use your workaround.

Many thanks.

The left side glass panel door needs to be easily unlocked from under the front glass fan panel and a Torx T-15 bit to drop the screw. The right metal panel is already dropped.

Once the front glass fan door is removed, remove the grid panel that covers the fans and look at the top left and right corners on the chassis. You'll see the two screws. Using the Torx T-15 bit, loosen the left-side screw (a flexible screwdriver works the best) and it will drop, just like the right-side screw already is. Lastly, tighten the screw in-place.

The left glass panel door will now release when pressing the button on the top of the chassis.20240518_134146.jpg20240518_134204.jpg20240518_134909.jpg20240518_135335.jpg20240518_135510.jpg
