Omen Gaming Hub - 45L  - the main Light not does not go off in Standby mode.

I have changed the configuration several times and rebooted the PC. I have reinstalled Omen Gaming Hub.

Hi @Gorgorgor,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I understand how frustrating it can be when the lighting on your gaming setup doesn’t behave as expected, especially after trying multiple fixes. Let's work on resolving this issue together.

  • Have you observed if the light stays on even after shutting down the system completely, or is it specific to Standby mode?
  • Does the Omen Gaming Hub apply other lighting changes correctly, or is this issue isolated to the standby lighting setting?
  • Have you noticed any recent updates to the Omen Gaming Hub or firmware that might correlate with this issue?

Let's try these steps.

Check BIOS Settings for RGB Lighting:

  • Restart your PC and enter the BIOS/UEFI setup (usually by pressing Esc, F2, or Del during boot).
  • Look for options related to RGB lighting or "LED in Standby" and ensure they are set to turn off during Standby mode. Save changes and reboot.
  •

Reconfigure Lighting Settings in Omen Gaming Hub:

  • Open Omen Gaming Hub and navigate to the Lighting section.
  • Ensure that Sleep Mode Lighting is set to turn off all lights.
  • Apply the changes, restart the PC, and check if the issue persists.
  •

Update or Reinstall Omen Gaming Hub and Firmware:

  • Completely uninstall Omen Gaming Hub and download the latest version from the HP Omen website.
  • Check for and install any firmware updates for your Omen 45L using the HP Support Assistant or the device's support page. Firmware updates might address bugs in lighting behavior.
  •

Reset Omen Gaming Hub Settings:

  • In Omen Gaming Hub, reset all configurations to default.
  • Reconfigure only the lighting settings for Standby mode to ensure no conflicting settings are causing the issue.
  •

Test for Power Supply or System Behavior:

  • Fully shut down the PC and unplug it for a few minutes. Plug it back in, power on, and test the lighting behavior.
  • If the lights still don’t turn off, test with a different power outlet or surge protector to rule out electrical grounding issues affecting the system.

If the issue persists, It’s possible that the issue is a software bug in the Omen Gaming Hub.

As a temporary workaround, you can manually disconnect or disable the main light in the BIOS or by using hardware controls if supported.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance
