It would have been nice if you had identified your PC beyond its base product name.
When you do not identify your desktop or laptop PC, you tie our hands behind our backs. Help us to help you.
When logged into Windows, hold down the Windows key and tap the R key once.
That will open the Windows run dialogue
Type in msinfo32 and press enter.
The ninth line is the system SKU and the HP product number. Kindly post i the complete system sku in your next reply in your thread.
The System SKU/Product ID will enable us to determine the hardware configuration of your PC.
It appears that all of the 875-1000i series desktop PCs most likely have the Shire motherboard. I still need the system sku to be certain. You can use CPUID's CPU-Z to verify that. Look for the SSID:8509 in the motherboard tab. That will be the Shire motherboard.
The motherboard is Micro ATX so it will fit in any decent enthusiast case. The downside is that the backplane will no longer be closed if you move the motherboard to a different case.
I doubt if the backplane piece is removeable, but maybe you will be lucky and it will be.
The backplane piece is what seals the rear of the motherboard external ports to the PC case.
I like the Corsair cases with the glass side with easy cable routing and 120 MM led fan mounts.
About the fans.. The additional fan ports may or may not work. I have been trying to get HP to give more information on them with some other PCs, but you may get lucky. If you add a beefy PSU, perhaps 750 Watt or so with extra 4-pin molex cables you can add many additional fans by using an adapter.
