I was just wondering what kind of M.2 WLAN is in the omen obelisk for future refernce also why the antennas look the way they do. Also if I was to get new antennas what would be compatible.

Greetings,
Welcome to the forum.
I am not a HP employee.
Please provide your PC's specific product number only to check the factory installed WIFI adapter.
HP usually uses Realtek WIFI.
HP does not provide WIFI antenna hardware details.
Do you have back I/O shield WIFI connections for a external antenna?
Regards

Hi David202,
Thanks for the HP product number.
Your PC has Realtek: ethernet, bluetooth, and wireless adapters, (Link to Windows 10 drivers).
I don't know how you would change the antenna if the WIFI/Bluetooth antenna is integrated into the chassis.
The Bluetooth and wireless adapter is installed in a M.2 socket on the motherboard. The antenna is attached to this adapter.
You would probably have to change the M.2 WIFI/Bluetooth adapter to use a different antenna.
Are you having WIFI/Bluetooth problems? Try installing the associated drivers (Driver-Network) at the above link.
