Just received shipping confirmation for my HP Envy 34” 5k AIO. I configured it only with a 512 SSD M.2 because HP would only sell it with gen 3 SSDs. Does any one know if that unit’s motherboard is capable of utilizing gen 4 M.2 SSDs at gen 4 speeds? And if so what specifications should the drive C & D M.2 SSD cards have. So I order them correctly. Also, which brands of SSDs have the best cloning software to clone the included 512GB SSD to a larger and faster SSD?

According to Crucial's Internal SSD upgrade site, an ENVY 34-c0054 All-in-One IS suited for gen 4 M.2 SSDs at gen 4 speeds:

Now, I realize that the HP ENVY All-in-One 34-c0054 is not exactly the same as your HP ENVY All-in-One 34-c0340t, but in my opinion this information would very strongly suggest that your AIO is also gen 4 M.2 SSD compatible.
Kind Regards,
