HP Pavilion 500-223w Desktop PC (ENERGY STAR)
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I want to add a 2nd hard drive to my Pavilion 500-223w desktop. Not counting those in use - such as for the 1 optical drive and 1 hard drive - I can find 2-3 extra SATA data cables, but I cannot find any extra SATA power cables.  Are they in some hidden crevice?

@BuffaloCat , welcome to the Community.

If there are none connected to the power supply unit (PSU) and no more connectors on the PSU, you will have to use a "Y" adapter and use an existing power cable.

Another option would be to use an external USB SSD.  I have two Samsung SSD's that I connect to my computer when I want to use them.  Here is SSD that I use.  They are small and don't take up any space on my desk.

Please click the "Yes" button if my reply was helpful and "Accept as Solution" if your problem is Solved!!

You are very welcome, @BuffaloCat!  I am always glad to help.

It is difficult for HP to cover every type of situation when it comes to upgrading their computers.  This is why we are here.
