Just bought a new 25 inch monitor and absoultely love it - but when I went to take the protective film off the monitor, it wouldn't come off.  Is there actually a plastic covering on these monitors when they come out of the box? If so, how did you remove it?

Happy New Year to you! Thanks for reaching out to us on HP Support Forums. 🙂 I came across your post and would like to help.

I understand that you have purchased a new HP 25es 25-inch Display monitor and the plastic protective film does not come off from the monitor.

I have checked the setup guide and the user guide for this monitor and do not see any mention of such plastic film. I suggest you to remove it and if it is stuck really hard then please contact HP phone support for hardware service options.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Cheers! 🙂

Thank you! The antiglare coating on my computer had bubbled up; looked like a thin piece of packaging. Sent it back!
