HP Pavillion P7-1027c
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello, I bought a used HP P7-1027c and was curious about possible GPU upgrade paths. I had an old GTX 1060 3gb, and after upgrading to a new Corsair 450 W PSU, the computer would just make loud obnoxious beeping noises at me. I am wondering what GPU might work on this MOBO? Could a GT 1030 possibly work?

@GreasedCrease,

Not sure what your trying to accomplish.  That unit has a lowly i-3 processor.

Your used unit can be found here.  Take note of the 2011 circa product release date.

The p7 series is based on BIOS boot environment, and can not be upgraded to the newer UEFIvBIOS. That is the problem. The newer GPSU cards are UEFI.  That is the impasse.  The only known final workabout that was dependable is the GTX 660 and some of the GTX 670's.  EVGA had better track record with the GTX 670.  These would require a PSU upgrade, and if you find the card, a nice Corsair CX500 would compliment the unit.
