Product: p7-1490
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Has anyone tried upgrading this CPU to the A10-6800.  I know HP only lists up to A10-5800, but I have read where others have upgraded this CPU to the A10-6800 successfully.

Going up to the A10-6800K may require better cooling.

 

The A6-5400K that you have is only 65 Watts the A10-6800K is 100 Watts.

 

Although it has a 99% success rate???

Then you should be good to go.

 

Like I said there is a 99% success rate with the upgrade.

It comes with a heat sink...unless there is a better heat sink around to buy?
