Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Dear HP community,

I had recently wanted to upgrade my RAM (I currently have 2X2GB DDR3 1333 RAM (Hynix HMT125U6BFR8C)) and bought a Kingston HyperX 8GB memory kit (8GB DDR3 1333 CL9 240 pin UDIMM Kit 2X4GB. When I put in the new RAM my pc shows the part list, but doesn't recognize the RAM and doesn't boot. Even when putting in one of the sticks or combining them with the old stock RAM it doesn't work (when I combine it with the old RAM the pc reboots constantly and shows a black screen). I have looked up the specsheet of the motherboard and the RAM should be compatible so I don't know what the problem is (I also switched to a SSD and that works perfectly). The PC does boot when the stock RAM is installed (as I'm currently writing this on my pc). Here's a link to the specsheet https://support.hp.com/us-en/product/hp-pavilion-p6300-desktop-pc-series/4079858/model/4129187/docum...

Thanks in advance and sorry for my English.

@Anonymous,

Your use of English is better than you realize.  Was this off the shelf RAM?  Following the spec sheet is not the answer.

Only certified RAM works.
