PC powers up but no screen

HP Recommended
Pavilion 500-515na
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My PC powers up keyboard light comes on but no monitor (black screen) it has windows 10, Bose speakers do not work

@jezchristopher , welcome to the forum.

 

Which version of Win 10 are you running -- 1903, 1909, 2004?  Also, is it 32-bit or 64-bit?  You can find this information in the System Information page.

I don't know as cannot get the details up on the screen but I had a big update a couple of days ago

Okay, let's try something.  I suggest that you either remove or disconnect your video card and connect to the Integrated Video port on the motherboard.  I want to make certain that it is not a video card problem.  I don't believe that Integrated Video is available if a video card is installed.
