PC "tpc f124 mt" will not start after minor security update. Cant access Bios at all. Yellow light

The MB has life since you get a no RAM error code.

I'm guessing you are using onboard CPU video, is this correct?

You have done everything you could do up to this point.

I would contact HP Support if the PC is in warranty. Maybe HP will fix under warranty, I don't know.

A local PC Tech might be able to flash the BIOS chip with the BIOS.bin file on your HP USB BIOS rescue drive using the Aptio V AMI Firmware Update Utility if the PC can boot to a WinPE Hiren's Rescue USB stick.

Hiren's will not work if your PC can't boot to USB media.

Or the Tech might be able to program the BIOS chip using a Serial ISP BIOS programmer.

HP firmware updates offered by Windows Update can sometimes become a Pandora's Box.

I disable this option.

Yeah it was a minor security update and then this. Dead computer with no way to recover it. Thanks for the help.

Yeah but that cost money and she really doesn't have that right now. Sucks because this PC is only like 2, maybe 3 years old.
