I'm adding the optional stand to my SFF desktop to save some space.
Hardware Reference Guide says, "Orient the computer so that its right side is facing down and place the computer in the optional stand." Is there an operational reason for this orientation (thermal flow, etc.)?
I have a single 500 GB SSD and 20 GB RAM installed but no additional heat producers within the case.
Sitting on the left side puts the feet toward a wall - a better look - but I don't want to disturb the designed cooling pattern.
Thanks for any guidance on a seemingly simple question.

@MikeOn5i , welcome to the forum.
I believe that you may be partially correct for considering airflow. However, it may be that some of the internal components have to be oriented in a particular manner. I have seen this situation in larger desktops that state they can be oriented in different configurations based on internal components. I have to admit this is my opinion. I couldn't find any further information on the subject. I, like you, always take looks into consideration when setting up a computer. 😉

Here are orientation pictures for the SSF, see page 2 and page 140. On page 2 the feet are down, the DVD is on the left side. On page 140 the feet at facing left, the DVD is at the top. The manual states the SSF requires 4 inch space on all sides. That seems like a contradiction if its on a side. Hope that helps.
