So before I made this post, I saw a post about the exact same thing, but I wanted some clarifications. I've owned my PC for about 5 years now, and I got it from Best Buy. The model number on the Best Buy page is M01-F1000a. I've upgraded it since then. It came with an AMD Ryzen 3 4300G, 8GB RAM (8x1), 250GB NVMe SSD, and I've upgraded it to 32GB of RAM, an RX 550, and added 2 more drives: a 500GB SATA SSD and a 2TB HDD.
Now to my question: I want to upgrade to an RX 580 (my friend gave it to me for free), and it requires a 6-pin power connector. I’ve seen posts about the PSU, but all the power supplies with that part number seem to be meant for an HP ENVY. I don’t own an HP ENVY, so I’m not sure if it’s the same PSU that just happens to fit in mine. Feel free to correct me if I’m wrong.

Welcome to our HP Community forum!
Your HP Desktop PC M01-F1000a is fitted with the Erica3 motherboard (SSID: 87D6).
There are two main power supply upgrade options for your PC:
There is a 400-watt power supply with p/n: L04618-800 and a 500-watt power supply with p/n: L05757-800.
Both power supplies are readily available online, such as via Amazon and eBay.
An RX 580 has a 185-watt TDP and requires the 500-watt power supply.
Hope this was helpful.
Kind Regards,
