HP Compaq Pro 6300
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My computer popped up a message that it had a windows 10 update and to click to restart to install update. I clicked restart and now my PC won’t come on at all. When I turn it on after about 10 seconds it just starts making a loud fan noise and it just keeps doing that without coming on no matter how long I leave it on.

remove the power cord, open the case , now press the power button for 10 sec

locate and remove the round silver cmos battery, wait for 5 min then reinsert battery, connect pwr cord power on

if still not working, a local repair shop will need to look at the system and determine if the pwr supply/motherboard or perhaps somme other part has failed

you might want to just replace the system, and use the hard drive/ram from the dead system in the new one

Thank you but I was actually able to get it fixed it was a bad ram stick.

You might unplug all peripherals except mouse and keyboard and see if that works.  It did for me.
