Victus by HP 15L Gaming Desktop PC TG02-0000i RCTO Base Model

HI, I have a 2-yr old Victus 15L desktop product # 49N24AV, system board ID 89B5.  I am planning to insert a m2. nvme via adapter into the PCEI x1 slot.  But I can't find it anywhere whether it is a gen 3 /4 /5 slot.  I know the x16 where the GPU currently sits is gen 4, just not sure what x1 slot is.  If I have this info I can then decide to expand my SSD storage this way or via external USB 3.2 gen 2, which max out at only about 1 GB/s - same as PCIe gen 3.  Thanks.

Hi:

According to the parts list for your PC, it comes with a 'RENO2' motherboard that has an Intel H670 chipset.

HP PartSurfer

The Intel specs for the H670 chipset indicate the PCIe revision is at least Gen 3.0.

See if you can get the specific info for the PCie x1 slot by installing the free HWINFO utility:

Thanks for the great links. I found out more about my computer parts than anywhere else previously. From the Intel chipset link I discovered the following:

Supported Processor PCI Express Port Configurations
PCIe 5.0: 1x16 or 2x8, PCIe 4.0: 1x4

x16 PCIe slot on my motherboard is capable of gen 5 and the x4 slot (which I don't see on the motherboard) is gen 4. It didn't say anything, however, about x1 slot.   I guess the only way to find out is to use it at which point CPU-Z might detect and report it.
