the PSU failed and I need to upgrade - what brand/model would I need

The part number for the stock 500-watt power supply for your HP ENVY Phoenix Desktop - 860-000na (N8X62EA) is: 746177-002 "Power Supply - IPS, ATX, Picolit, 500W, EStar Bronze, 5V sb/4A".

 

You can purchase one of these power supplies online, such as via eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=746177-002+&_sacat=0&_from=R40&LH_BIN=1&rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=2.

 

However, because the HP ENVY Phoenix 860-000na uses a standard ATX power supply, meaning you can swap it with an industry standard 24-pin ATX PSU unit, but I would recommend verifying the physical dimensions (LxWxH) to ensure it fits your case.
