POST 927 fatal memory error is an indication of a failure on a DIMM module.
Replace the memory module(s) and that should resolve the issue.

Thanks Enrico, I agreed with you as far as the defective DIMM is concerned.
What does concern me is that after removing teh defective DIMM, with only one remaining DIMM. it gave the message again,
POST error 927 memory reading error, but it did not indicate the DIMM number as in the first instance.
Not sure if both DIMM's are defective, or there is another problem.
I gives this message without the "defective" DIMM, with only the second DIMM.
