@gendrake61,

That is affirmative: a Ryzen 7 5700G has the same TDP (65-watt) as a Ryzen 5 5600G:

@gendrake61,

Welcome to our HP community forum!

Your 400-watt power supply, which is equipped with one 6+2-pin PCIe power cable, is more than sufficient to power an RX 5500.  No need to upgrade to a 500-watt power supply.

so if i upgrade the cpu to an amd ryzen 7 5700g from the factory installed amd ryzen 5 5600g, it won't require that i upgrade the psu to 500 watt due to it being a high end processor?
