Hi! There is constant coil whine like (buzzing) sound coming from psu (original Chicony 200W OEM psu). PC work load is little (web browsing and Office apps), no dedicated GPU, using only integrated HD530. This sound persists even after pc is turned off and in S5 state, and goes away only after PC is completely plugged out from power. The sound is tiny and can be heard from 1-2m from the PC in complete silence. When I place my ear very close to the psu, then sound is clearly heard, coming from PSU internals. However, I am concerned if this psu is faulty. Since it is HP original PSU I guess it has got all protections in place and even if failing, will not take any other part with it or catch fire. is this true? Or should the PSU be replaced anyway? Other than the sound, It is working just fine - stays cool, no smells, no blue screens, etc. HW Monitor shows VID voltage is in range 0.9-1.2V. PC has been cleaned, dusted, all cables checked and in place, no buldging capacitors on mainboard (did not open psu itself). Any ideas or suggestions?
