Pavilion 25xi
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My Pavilion 25xi monitor suddenly started to intermittently goes black.  I am connected to the monitor through a ThinkPad/Lenovo docking station.  It worked fine for months, and just started happening.  No new software installed other than security updates.

@AF-1 Welcome to HP Community!

Did you try with an alternate device, now? to check if the issue occurs due to the display or the computer?

Also, if you don't have access to any other monitor or computer, try the below steps:

If not done already, check if it works fine on the BIOS screen to identify if it's either a hardware or a software issue:

  • If it works fine on the BIOS (Accessed while tapping F10 during a restart) it's a software issue & I suggest creating a new user account to check if that works better, for starters)
  • However, if it doesn't work within the BIOS either, I'm afraid it's a hardware malfunction.
