Pavilion 27-R1xx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I've purchased my Pavilion All-in-One 27-R1xx two weeks ago and the fan continuously runs at 2000rpm (or faste)r even when there are no programs open and the the CPU is running at well below 5% . I have updated the Bios and tried everything else I could think of  however nothing seems to solve this problem. This is my second HP All-in-One, my older 24 inch (which i still have) has never had this problem. Am i missing something or is this a  hardware fault?

Some of the tips in the article below won't apply you because you have a new PC(like dust) but one of them may solve your issue.

Thanks for the comprehensive article. I have followed it step by step however fan speed still exceeds 2000rpm no matter what updates or changes I made to system settings. Any other suggestions or should I contact HP support?
