It looks like I need to update my CPU to run W11 OS since the pc health app says my i7 7700t is not compatible.

Am I reading the health app correctly and Intel Processor would be the best choice?

Here are the Motherboard Specifications for your computer.  If you look at the section titled "Processor upgrade information" it list all of the compatible processors.  The i7-7700's are the top of the list.  Therefore, you won't be able to upgrade it at this time.  However, Intel may require MS to add it in future versions of Win 11.  Stay tuned!!

Hi:

According to the processor upgrade info, there are no Windows 11 - supported processors you can upgrade to.

If you want to upgrade to W11, I can give you two easy ways to bypass the W11 hardware checks.

Thank you for adding your $.02, @Paul_Tikkanen .   I have seen your solution, but will it work once Win 11 if fully finalized?  My wife has a Spectre X360 laptop that is not compatible because of TMP 2.0.  I don't want to mess it up.  She would not be happy with me if she can't lurk on FB and play Mahjong! 😉

You're very welcome, @old_geekster

Please read through my comments on this discussion...where the person asks if I think it is worth it to upgrade to W11...

Windows 11 is going to be updated once a year, so we will have to wait and see what happens then.

My guess is that I will be able to use that little file mentioned in the link I had posted for how to upgrade without a clean install and always be able to bypass the hardware checks.
