Pavilion P6000 (p6523w)

Pavilion P6000 (p6523w)
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I am wondering if there are still drivers available for this beast.  I picked it up from a thrift store and debating to load a OS on it or just use it for a doorstop.  I’ve tried searching the HP website and apparently it was EOL’d.  So, if anyone might have some insight on this monster.  Please shout out here.  I’m wondering if there might be a bios update laying around somewhere too.

Thanks!

Hello
if you have this model

HP Pavilion p6523w Desktop

there would be this motherboard

  • Manufacturer: Foxconn
  • Motherboard Name: H-Alpinia-RS780L-uATX
  • HP/Compaq motherboard name: Alpinia-GL8

you can find the same motherboard from the page of this series

https://support.hp.com/ca-fr/product/hp-pavilion-p6700-desktop-pc-series/5035348

Caractéristiques de la carte mère H-Alpinia-RS780L-uATX (Alpinia)

  •  Foxconn H-Alpinia-RS780L-uATX
  •  Alpinia GL8

Check, but the latest bios version might be here

https://support.hp.com/ca-fr/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-pavilion-p6700-desktop-pc-series/50353...

https://support.hp.com/ca-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-pavilion-p6700-desktop-pc-series/5035348

that said, updating the bios is not without risk, avoid if possible

you can probably use drivers available here as well

Attention
A bios update is not without risk!
Be aware that if you are offered to do so, it will be at your own risk, the computer may become unusable, think about it
