Yup, it's turned out a lot like that.

 

Other than the CPU, is there anything left (that I haven't replaced already) that could have caused all of this?

The new CPU came in. I replaced it, and still the PC won't POST or beep. The power LED comes on and the case fan and CPU fan do start spinning, but after a few seconds the case fan stops and, of course, the computer never boots up.

 

Unless somebody has a new suggestion, I'm guessing there is no hope for saving this machine. Just wish I knew what the heck happened to it.
