Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I'm trying to upgrade my 10 years old desktop. One of the recomended CPU upgrades is Intel Core  2 Quad Q9xx0. I purchased pre-owned Intel Core 2 Quad Q9650 on ebay. After installation the motherboard started beeping (1 short, 1 long beep). My first though was, "the cpu is 95W so it requires more power" so I bought 280W power suply unit replacing my 210W adapter. But the power suply unit hasn't solved the issue. The seller sugested that my BIOS may require an update, but there is no newer BIOS version available. The seller provided CPU exchange but the "new" CPU has given the same problem as the first one. I was searching the web for beep codes but I was unable to find satisfactory explanation to my problem. What do I do wrong?

By the way my old cpu is working fine with the same motherboard.
