Please help me find RAM compatible with my HP Z440

I would like to add more RAM to this workstation. First, I purchased some Corsair Vengeance 3200MHz. These failed to POST in any slot. Then I realized that the 3200MHz might be the issue as the Z440 tops out at 2400 (though I know historically that hasn't been an issue, the memory will just downclock to what your motherboard can handle). Anyway I returned those and got some 2400MHz "Timetec" brand ram. Also fails to POST. Five beeps, indicating a memory issue.

Is there something special I have to look for to get RAM that is compatible with the Z440 or something I have to do to get more sticks to work? I have the cooling shroud for active memory cooling, nothing I'm seeing on the forums or documentation indicates there should be an issue.
