Hi everyone,
(HP Desktop - M01-F0020)
(6YQ83AA)
Recently I came into possession into this computer build and noticed that the PSU is a proprietary one that is only 180w with 12v power supply unit. I was wondering if there is any other compatible higher PSU that would work with the Erica 2 motherboard, or if there is another entirely different motherboard that would fit within this chassis of this desktop that would support a more powerful upgradeable psu. Cost is not really an issue if there is a solution to upgrade or replace the psu and/or the motherboard too. Thanks for any and all help and input.

Here is a PSU Compatiblity list compiled by an esteemed Late former expert.
Take a careful look at the list. Are you sure that you have a Erica motherboard and not an Erica2 unit instead?
From what I see in the specifications document, it is an Erica2 motherboard.

Unfortunately, that motherboard has more limitations than the Erica motherboard did.
I think you are out of luck on this one.

I have the Erica motherboard and not the Erica 2 since my system has the AMD Ryzen 5 3200G 8gb processor and not the Ryzen 5 3400g. Would I have any more luck with the Erica1 motherboard in terms of the prior question or am I still out of luck? I see with the chart you sent there is still no replacement option there either.

Now that you have provided that information you may be in luck.
Actually there are replacements with higher current capacity in the list.
On the second page look at the TG01 series.
There is a 400W unit (L04618-800) that provides 400W and at least one PCIe 6+2 power connector. It has an 80+rating.
There is also an 500W unit (L05757-800)with a PCIe 6+2 cable connector and a PCIe 6 pin power cable connector.

Would those models fit in this HP Desktop M01-F0020 build and be compatible with the Erica 1 motherboard, because if that is the case, that would be awesome to replace the 180w current PSU with either of those models that would still work with the Erica 1 motherboard.

There are discussions about this in threads here in the forum.
I suggest looking at the specifications of the PSUs to get the dimensions.
Compare them to your current PSU dimensions for the fit.
There is no Erica1 motherboard. It is an Erica motherboard.

Darn it. It looks like it was an Erica 2 motherboard after all. But I very much appreciate your help into this matter. Looks like the only things in this setup I can upgrade is the RAM, M.2 Nvme card and maybe the HDD that comes inside. Thanks for your help into this matter.
