Hello,
a while back I bought the HP OMEN DESKTOP 875-0070 but now I really feel like it needs a better processor. Since I don't know alot about sockets and motherboards. Have I atleast understood correctly that i9 is a no go with the current motherboard ?

I seem to be having problems with the HP support site at the present. Other sites list that model as having a Ryzen 7 2700 CPU. Therefore definitely not going to be able to use any Intel CPU's. Since the HP support site is not responding for me, I cannot see the supported CPU list but it is suspect the only slightly better Ryzen 7 2700x to be an upgrade. Probably not a big enough advantage to consider the additional cost.
I'm not an HP employee.
