So, the power button on my HP Pavilion has been kaput for a while now. The contact on it is pretty much dead. I've had to keep it turned on in fear of not being able to turn it back on. One day, I spilled my coffee on the keyboard, and I was forced to shut it down.
After wiping it up and hoping the internals would dry out, I eventually attempted to make the contact work again, but I couldn't, so I did the next thing I could think of (and possibly the dumbest thing I could think of) and pressed ALL THE BUTTONS.
Somehow, the power key lit up, but now it's just blinking slowly and the PC isn't turning on. I like to think I'd somehow pressed some secret keyboard combination that acted as an alternative to the power button, but I don't know if that's even possible. But, uh... now the blinking won't stop, and I'm worried it's going to cause even more damage if it keeps doing this.
Is there a way I can even salvage this, or am I just screwed?
