Hi Guys,
there are a lot of threads to the topic of upgrading a proprietary 180w power supply, but I'm not sure if it fits for my PC (actually my partners :)) - for beeing able to install a dedicated grafics card. The system is the HP Pavilion M01-F0054ng with AMD Ryzen 5-3400G, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, AMD Vega 11 and a "Erica2" Motherboard.
I thought after a little research, that maybe I could geht a 310w like this one: L64961-800 used in the very similar HP Desktop M01-F0238ng (it has an Intel Chip with GeForce GTX 1650 dedicated GPU), what do you guys think, is this possible?
- follow up question to this: is the L10875-800 also possible? (its the only one I find instead of the L64961-800 in some shops or it is even reffered to as an alternative).
Or besides that maybe even one with more power of course, like maybe this: L04618-800 (400w) as discussed here: https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Hardware-and-Upgrade-Questions/HP-Desktop-M01-F0016-Erica-Moth... ? If this or 500w is also possible I'd be interested to know as well of course.
But I'd be glad if 310w works at least. Then at least my Geforce gtx 1050ti taken from my ohter Desktop should work fine.
Thanks for any help and greetings!
W.
(I'm also sure there are a lot of Topics here and I maybe should be able to answer it myself, but I'm not that much experienced with hardware I've to say - so thanks for beeing kind ;)).

EVGA has GTX 1050 & 1050Ti that require a 6pin PCIe power plug. That is why I listed under the PCIE a 0/6.
That is why you need to look up the cards. Every computer series, like your M01 can use any of the listed PSU part numbers. That is the essence of the spreadsheet. The MO1 series is rather new , and not many variations are known, as yet. The newer M01-0067ng sports the GT 1030 (30W) with the 180W PSU. I will be adding that to the spreadsheet. I try to keep update every 2-3 weeks.

You can use this spreadsheet to make a cross reference.
As a cautionary note: Some GTX 1650 cards required a PCIe power plug, found on the 400-500W PSU.
There has been a rumor of a 310W (L64961-800) that might have the plug, but not confirmed.

Thank you for your reply Wb2001!
So, how can I understand that sheet: Mine is probably the same "L08660-800" as shown there in the M01-F0016 with (same) Erica2 motherboard right?
So anyway, that means the other Power Supplys listed there are all possible candidates, but not really testet in this setup right? - So I would need to find out myself if it works right?
On page 1 (with other motherboards) they had tested the L10875-800 310w and L04618-800 400w both as an replacement for the L08660-800 180w sucesfully, so I would now choose one of them as a start and try this method, right thought? 😉
probably the 310w (L10875-800), because its cheaper to get (and 310w work in other M01's as well). - I also don't neet more than 310w if I stick to the plan to just put in my already in use [my other Desktop] Geforce GTX 1050ti (it doesnt need any additional power-plug with its 75W usage).
Thats all just theory at the moment, I don't really need it (or my girlfriend for that matter), its just a precaution if we realize we want some more grafics power in the future (wich is probably the case :)).
Thanks again for some reply, I appreciate it! - Even if I'm right and its not really tested. I will of course try to give you a reply if I will try this out. - I already seen you try to get more data /replys to this topic :)!

Thanx again for the reply, that was good to know with the combatibility!
& jeah @1050ti: I have the Card already in my other Desktop, so I know it doesnt need the extra Power. But Its good you mention that there are so much diffrent versions (should I by some new one, also for myself e.g.).
Greetings and thanks again,
W.
