Product: HP Pavilion 550-a114

The PC will not turn on. I noticed a power cord was missing. I need a replacement. What kind will work? Where can I buy one?

Hi:

 

The specs for your PC indicate that it comes with an external power supply.

Are you missing the whole shebang?

 

If so, you need both the power adapter and the cord that goes from the wall socket to the power adapter.

 

You will find the part numbers for both items in the above parts list.

 

Power Adapter:  HP part # 724264-002 

 

Power Cord:        HP part # 213349-009 

 

I suggest you do a search by the HP power adapter part number on eBay and see if there is anyone selling the both the adapter and cord as one unit.

 

The power adapter is not available from HP and they sell the cord for nearly $26 bucks.
