We lost the power cord to the tower and no one has been able to help me figure out which one to buy. I have tried searching but only can find the cord that plugs into the box and outlet not the actual part that plugs into the tower. Anyone know and can help me please?

Hi:
According to the parts list for your PC, below, you need one of the 4 listed, plus the cord that goes from the wall socket to the adapter.
http://partsurfer.hp.com/Search.aspx?searchText=X6B71AA
I googled 270-A000 power adapter (that is the general model series) and this came up...
https://www.amazon.com/270-a047cb-924589-800-270-a015t-270-a035z-TPC-W033-SF/dp/B07CS69Z1X
It shows the straight barrel end connector.
So, that would be part number 924847-800.
You can get that part from HP at the link below. $40.00
Then you need the cord...213349-009 $23.00
I tried looking up the part on eBay in hopes to find a used but tested and working power adapter and cord but only found an adapter for $65.00.
I did find this seller that has a refurbished one with the power cord for $45.00.

So, they're out there. You just have to see if you can find the genuine HP parts for the least amount of money.
I'll leave that up to you if you want to look any further.
