HP Pavilion Gaming 690-0020

I am upgrading my GPU from the RX580 to the RTX 2080, but I doubt the 400w power supply that comes with it will be enough to power it. Is there a 500w or greater power supply that will work in my PC (Pavilion Gaming 690-0020)

Thanks

Your HP Pavilion Gaming Desktop 690-0020 (3LA92AA) is compatible with this 500-watt power supply with p/n: L05757-800.  You can purchase this power supply online, such as via this top rated/trusted eBay Seller: NEW Power Supply For HP PSU 500W - Envy 795-0003UR Desktop- L05757-800 | eBay.

Please note that even though I think you could probably power an RTX 2080 with this 500-watt power supply, however, it would be pushing it: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-2080.c3224.

I would strongly recommend considering purchasing a smaller-sized (dual fan) RTX 4060 powered by a single 8-pin PCIe power cable, such as this model: https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/asus-dual-rtx-4060.b11147.

Reason being, is that the RTX 4060 and the RTX 2080 rank identical in graphics performance, and the RTX 4060 can be powered by your 400-watt power supply because of its significantly lower TDP: 115-watt vs. 215-watt for an RTX 2080.

Also, the RTX 4060 cards are very well priced, such as this Amazon purchase option: Amazon.com: ASUS Dual GeForce RTX™ 4060 EVO OC Edition 8GB GDDR6 (PCIe 4.0, 8GB GDDR6, DLSS 3, HDMI ....
