Hello, I am looking to buy a new graphics card for my HP Pavilion TP01-3000i computer, however my power supply only has 310 Watts, while my GPU requires at least 550 Watts. Does anyone know what power supply I should get? I believe I need a HP-branded PSU, but I don't know the exact one that will be compatible with this particular desktop. Thanks.
Edit: I also need one with an 8-pin power connector for the GPU.

Hi @amr7770
The maximum HP (only) PSU that is compatible with your MB and chassis is part number L05757-800 Power Supply - GNRC PSU 500W ENT17 FR GLD. It has the 8 pin power connector.

You can't buy this component from HP at this time. The HP 500 watt or compatible HP 500 watt PSU can be purchased on Amazon or eBay. The Amazon reviews for the HP (China version) compatible PSU aren't very good.
A 500 watt power supply may work okay with a graphics card that requires 550 watts.
You are in a tough situation. No guarantee you will have a pleasant experience upgrading to a graphics card that recommends a 550 watt PSU if you use a 500 watt PSU. It's close and you may be okay.
