Hello, I'm looking for a power supply with more power than the one installed by default.

My video card broke, and I would like to buy a more powerful one (an RTX 2060, for example), but it requires a 500W power supply.
However, my computer's specifications say that I can buy an “L08660-800” with a maximum of 180W, but I would like a 500W one. How can I do this?

Can I replace the power supply with a 500W L05757-800, or is 180W the maximum I can give my PC?

Hi:

What is the full model number or product number of your PC?

Yes, the L05757-800 PSU part number should work fine in your PC.

Another forum member developed a spreadsheet of what PSUs would work in various HP consumer desktop PC's.

That is correct.

I'm glad that the online HP Italy parts store has it in stock for 116.73.

Hi, I'm updating you on the 500W PSU I bought and received.

It arrived, I removed the old one and installed the new one, but the only problem is that it's slightly larger than expected, so a small part of the heat sink/fan is covered by the case (it works anyway).

I have three extra pins left to use, and there are three connectors, so now I would like to purchase a new video card, presumably the NVIDIA RTX 2060 with 2 fans, but I don't know if it is actually compatible and will fit in my PC.

Hi:

Sorry that power supply didn't fit the way it was supposed to.

As far as a graphics card, please start a new discussion on that because I don't know what cards will fit in your PC.

I recommend that you ger the dimensions of the card you want to buy from the manufacturer, and the measure the inside of the case and the clearance between the internal components.

As far as the card working, that shouldn't be a problem if it fits.

I checked the parts list and none of the PC's I saw under that model series came with a Nvidia RTX 2xxx card.

I'm surprised that some of those PC came with the NVIDIA GeForce GTX1050 2GB graphics card and only a 180W power supply such as this one:
