I am trying to upgrade the power supply in my ProDesk 400 G3 to add a graphics card.  I purchased a standard 400W ATX power supply.  The motherboard connectors appear to be standard ATX and everything plugs in without an issue.  When I power it on, I get a beep error code for power.  Do these machines not use standard ATX power pins and just have similar connectors or do I have a bad power supply?

@centuri,

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

You are correct: to the best of my knowledge an industry standard ATX power supply should work:
